Of couirse, Smith and Wesson was founded in the 1860’s, and was actualy required to pay Rllin White for bored through cylendars so they would accept cartridges, instead of loose gunpowder.

While we do not have complete data form 1860 to 1880 we do have complete homicide tgotals and rates from 1880 to 2018. As you can see, the homicide and violent crime rates were far lower when Smith and Wesson was working three shifts, six days a week, between 1880 and 1905. After gun controls were instituted after the murder of a governor criminal use of firearms headed for levels up to then unheard of anywhere in the world.

And let me oint out that the red columns on the right show the results of the latest and by far the best funded gun ban campaign in Americans have fought against.

The simple fact is the United States has remarkably low violent crime rates, typically only one thrid of that of other industrialized countries.

That is the cold hard truth, that in some cases can be proven in less than 20 minutes. And it is equally easy to show that a criminals greatest fear is an armed victim.

If the gun banners were really interested in helping to build a safe society, they would help the shooting community put a stop to the rafficking in stolen guns tat arms the underworld. But of course, all the banners putting up the money for “gun safety” are interested in is Profit and Power.
