The Gun Control Liars Are Out In Force

I see the philly.com website is telling one of the most blatant gun control lies of 2017, that universal reciprocity of Licenses to Carry would make new Jersey more dangerous. This in a State whos gun control laws have made the garden state whose gun control laws have done this:

Increasing the total number of violent crimes from 1,236 in 1,779 in 1963, the last year of a 30 year decline in crime rates, and the the beginning year for a gun control campaign; to 1,361 in 1998, with a small and largely fictional decline to “only” 8,254 in 2015, the last year statistics are currently available.

The cold hard fact is that the shooting community is the LTC cohort is the most law abiding segment of the most law abiding of the American population.

A randomly selected sampling of 16,500,000 Americans would find that cohort will commit some 22,300 serious crimes in a typical 21st Century year.

A randomly selected cohort of 16,500,000 American gun owners will commit approximately 2,100 serious crimes in a typical 21st Century year.

On the other hand, a one million strong cohort of persons who have one or more felony convictions will commit more than seven million serious crimes in a typical 21st Century year. But those with a felony conviction are prohibited by law from obtaining an LTC.

So of course philly.com is peddling the same old like of fresh manure, that the most law abiding segment of American society would turn into murderous bank robbers as soon as they get past the borders of their home State.

Something that is demonstrably no more than a monster lie.

Now, those are the cold hard facts, taken from the records of States issuing LTC’s and prison surveys.

But of course, facts don’t matter to propagandists for gun control. Facts don’t matter and uninformed opinion is all that matters.
