The rabidly anti-gun Los Angeles Times repo has a story up on Las Vegas has a report on Stephen Paddock that those following the Las Vegas mass murder investigation may want to check out.
Breifly quoting the LA Times item linked above:::
Stephen Paddock gambled large sums of money, kept child pornography on his computer and purchased more than 55 weapons in the year leading up to the largest mass shooting in modern American history.
Omitted from that list are the fact those who commit an illegal act leave themselves open to blackmail and Paddock requested and obtained a prescription for the mood altering drugs generally called “tranquilizers” less than three months before the October 1 mass murder.
Both facts, along with the fact that Paddock lost large sums gambling, and could only round up $120,000 to ship to his girlfriend for safekeeping are likely to be critical to solving the why of Paddock’s rampage. But the LA Times does not consider them important enough to mention.
And, despite the fact Paddocck used only one gun, an AK-47 retro-converted back into an assault rifle, the gratuitious “55 guns” crack was included.
All of which speaks volumes about the LA Times opinion of guns and gun owners, and of providing an accurate picture of events generally.
