Now, I will make one comment. Before President Ronald Reagan put a 45% temporary tariff on motorcycles, a local Suziki dealer was selling entry level 125 cc motocross bikes for $545.00 and there was plenty of competition at that price point. The tariff raised the price of those bikes a couple of hundred, and stopped the flow of kids who entered races before they could rid. Which, considering the number of injuries, and the two fatalities, I know about was a very good thing.
And saving Harley was no bad thing either.
