San Jose: Lock Up All Guns An Home

I see the San Jose gun crazies have taken a leaf from the U.K.s playbook, proposing a law that would lock up all guns at the owners home.

That was instituted in the UK, as one of my radio friends explained;; “I stay up a few minutes late and ere comes the constables, knocking me up, demanding to see my shotgun, demanding if I have ammunition, and poking about.”

This after paying the licensing fee on a Westly Richards that could have bought a house in California, and being allowed to take “a brace” of pheasant each year.

The law did not work, since it merely made criminal intrusion far safer. Helpless victims are one thing criminals love, and from the San Jose Mercury report linked above, this is a case of a law by and for criminals.
