Rocky Mount N.C. Councilman Wants A Review Of Crime STats

The Rocky Mount Telegraph reports a Rocky Mount City Councilman, Andre Knight, has demanded a review of the city’s crime statistics.

As far as I can see from the FBI Uniform Crime report, the numbers are plausible, but not necessarily correct. I a wold where correct data is a necessity, Councilman Knight is to be congratulated for demanding a recount.

The numbers are the facts, and in the long run an undercount reflects badly on the city and everyone in it. I jut wish every city councilperson felt the same way.

This is a LIE – Please read the paper. HE HAS NOT DEMANDED A REVIEW!! THE PEOPLE HAVE ASKED FOR A REVIEW AND HE IS AGAINST IT!

  2. Stranger says:

Well, Anonymous, here is what that paper you deamn I read says:

Rocky Mount City Councilman Andre Knight said irregularities in the way city crimes are reported should be investigated, but maintains the whole situation smacks of a racially-motivated attack aimed at the city’s black leadership.

Yep, that is the lead paragraph, in fact. So having read the itemin question twice, and confirmed the accuracy with a Rocky Mount resident, please elucidate.
