Report: Some Pastors beginning To Carry

ABC reports that in the wake of the Texas Church Massacre some pastors are beginning to carry a gun.

Briefly quoting the ABC item linked above:

“Churches are more vulnerable than ever before,” Pastor Joe Worley of First Baptist Church in Groves, Texas, said.

Churches are also favorite targets of mass murderers, particularly in States like Texas, which ban concealed carry in houses of worship.

Since the prospect of effective resistance is the most effective known violence suppressor, that is exactly the wrong thing to do.

So kudos to the pastors for personally taking the most effective action to protect their flock.

Of course, I wouild like to see them placard their house of worship as a “free to carry zone,” giving more weight to the probability of effective resistance.
