Report: House “Leadership” To Add Gun Control To National Reciprocity

Breitbart reports ‘House leadership” is set to sell us out in the Fix NICS Bill.

Briefly quoting the Breitbart report linked above:

Breitbart News has since learned that the legislation being eyed by House Leadership is similar to background check legislation that was pushed while Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was Speaker of the House. That push, which ultimately passed and was signed by George W. Bush, consisted of “improving” the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) but was subsequently parlayed into expanding the number and types of persons listed as prohibited from gun purchases.

Clearly, then, Rep. Hudson’s bill to force State to recognize out of State licenses to carry is to be poisoned. Instead of gaining something, we would lose ground, big time.

Equally clearly, the House bill must be opposed with all our combined strength, and a careful investigation into our “House leadership” that seems so eager to sell his constituents out.

On the ANTI-Party’s House Leadership them there are the usual suspects, Nancy Pelosi, minority leader: Minority whip Steny Howyer:

On the Republican side, there is House Majority leader Paul Ryan: Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy:: and Majority Whip Steve Scalese.

It would appear that it would take at least three and possiblly four of these to insert gun ban precursors in Rep. Hudson’s bill. While anything is possible, I tend to trust Rep. Scalese.
