The Independent reports an unexplained cold spot in space could be evidence of a paralell universe.
Tge image of the cold spot in space is worth the click, so click on over. The Alley will be here when you click back.
For my part, the hypothesis is no more far fetched than the currently accepted hypothesis that our universe was a small area in a vast void, perhaps larege enough to contain just a half doze or so atoms, that suddenly exploded into the primeval universe our best telescopes show us.
In fac it is easier to demonstrate there are other universwes drawing energy from ours, resulting in a colde spot or spots, than it is to demonstrate the inflation theory of all.
“We shall see what we shall see was” a favorite expression of a Jewish friend of my dad’s, and it certainly applies in this case. I put the possibilities of shaking the tentacle of an alien at about two percent, but I think it will be a very long time before we shake the hindclaw of an alien from another universe.
