Investors Business Daily has a report on the fine work ‘private volunteers, another name for the unorganized militia, is doing in Hurricane Irma Relief.

In emergencies, the volunteers are there, expecting no more than a meal from time to time and a place to sleep when weariness forces a brief respite. That is the way American has been since colonial times, and that is the way it will be as long as its people remain free.
