The Washington Free Beacon the Southern Poverty Law Center, has transferred millions to offshore entities beyond the reach of American courts.
The SPLC is known for branding things like smallbore leagues “hate groups,” making life difficult for the very groups that most welcom minority representation. Briefly quoting the Free Beacm report linked above:
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a liberal, Alabama-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that has gained prominence on the left for its “hate group” designations, pushes millions of dollars to offshore entities as part of its business dealings, records show.
Additionally, the nonprofit pays lucrative six-figure salaries to its top directors and key employees while spending little on legal services despite its stated intent of “fighting hate and bigotry” using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy.

For my part, Moe Dees SPLC is not liberal, he is a flaming Progressive, a radical leftist. While the poor definitely need competent legal advice, SPLC appears to be more interested profit than assistance to the needy. Tansferring sumps to foreign “safe houses” after a lawsuit is filed against you is a tacit admission of responsibility, and an attempt to limit cost of an adverse judgement.
We shall see what we shall see, of course, but I suspect Moe Dees smells a serious setback.
