Considering the Magnolia State’s economic position at dead last economically and the peculiar demographics and massive corruption of a few cities, progress in driving down crime has been nothing short of astonishing.
Yes, the gun ban lobbies are working hard here but only the media pays attention. Almost all the rest of us are busy tending to our lawful knitting:
Yes, he ban lobbies have managed to drive up the murder rate somewhat – from 7.3 to 8.7 per 100,000 population between 2012 and 2013, the last series of lessened restrictions on guns have driven the homicide rates down to
202…..7.1 per 100,000
2-013…..7.3, first year for Bloomberg’s banners here
2014…..8.7, high water for the gun banners
2015…….8.5, the tide’s going out
2017?…. early clipping totals lead to hope for the homicide rate to be near what it was before the gun ban lobbies started peddling their poison.
