Illinois Gun Registration And Ammo Tax Bills Advance To The Full House

The Pantagraph reports both of the Chicago Combine’s gun control bills, the gun registration and the ammo tax bills, have been voted out of committee and have gone to the full House for “debate.

Make no mistake. It is virtually certain Emanuel and the Combine have the votes to pass these bills. They would not have been introduced if they did not have the votes. If these bills fail it will be because gun owners mobilized to defeat them.

And let me point out that this is yet another reason we need at least 61 reliable pro-gun votes in the Senate, and 256 reliable pro-gun votes in the House. And a Federal preemption bill that would make laws like these impossible to enact, impossible to enforce, and extremely expensive for those who try it.
