Gun Free Venezuela: Food Riots Shut Down A City, Cops Join In

The Pan Am Post reports food rioting food riots have shut down a Venezuelan city y los plicias have joined the rioters.

One of the purposes of the Second Amendment was to give the people the means of telling an oppressive government to go, and watching their behinds as they afade into the distance. Remember, the battles of Lexington and Concord were fought over that issue, since the British could not put harsh restrictions on armed colonists.

Venezuela is in the same position the colonies would have been in had the Redcoates defeated the citizen militia, the “Minute Men,” at Lexington and Concord.

Disarmed, with no means of opposing an oppresive government other than to put their unprotected bodies in the line of fire, hunger is driving Venezuelans to that extreme.

As Patric Henry said of the Second Amendment, “The great object is that every man be armed.” It was a successful strategy for almost 120 years.

We desperately need to return to that policy; just as Venezuelans need to find a wa to arm themselves.
