Fargo Chief Says Some Should Never Own Guns

FNHQ-NYC went to flyover country for a few words form Fargo Police Chief David Todd.

In the clip Todd says he is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment but domestic violence offenders should never own guns. I have no problem with that – provided the purported offender has had his day in court and is actually guilty of a violent offense.

I see far too many cases of angry spouses lashing out with accusations of violence that never happened. the offender, so called, was guilty of nothing more than taking a hot headed life partner.

Domestic violence is a serious problem, but our justice system requires a man’s guilt or innocence by the verdict of a jury of his, or her, peers. To violate that principle, as so many Lautenberg arrests do, is to make our system of justice truly criminal.
