Bipartisan Call To Ease Political hostility

FOX News reports a bipartisan call to ease off on political hostility.

While that would be a very good thing to do, such a course faces a real mountain to cross. The hostility of the progressive media to anything they see as non-progressive.

After that, the Democrats who would back off the hostility lever face the wrath of the Party itself since the DNC insists on strict adherence to the Party line, except in exceptional circumstances. Exceptional meaning the Partei will lose a seat in the next election if the Senator or Congressperson votes the platform.

Permission for a variance is rarely granted, and few office holders dare disregard.

The call is a good thought, though. Perhaps in a few years the Democrats will be able to act on it.
