Arctic Sea Ice Extent Tops 7 Million Km2

The October 16 arctic sea ice report shows 7,088,000 square kilometers of Arctic sea ice. That is quite respectable considering climate expert Al gore predicted there would ne no se ice at all for this year.

While the sea ice is doing well, considering the amount of Asian soot that is falling on and melting the ice, temperatures are a bit above normal. The Arctic is getting influxes of warmer temperate zone air, which displaces Arctic cold and warms the place up.

  1. Wu Chang says:

Antarctic ice does have the fly ash/soot influence.

I guess one of the ‘advantages’ the ‘ man-made climate change’ charlatans is the ability to talk out of both sides of their collective mouths, rather than to admit they are wrong.

  2. Wu Chang says:

correction: does not have the fly ash/soot influence

  3. Stranger says:

Thanks, Wu Chang. I should have paid more attention to Strunk and white.

  4. Stranger says:

Thanks for the link, Wu Chang. see the Antarctic sea ice reading ins above 8,000,000 Km2, but the only thing that occurs is that with that much ice it is probably a long way from some nesting grounds to their food source. And the BBC Promo to the contrary, Penguins don’t fly.
