The anti-gun, and therefore pro-crime Daily Beast has evidently picked up long time gun control propagandist Dennis Hennigan as one of its Beastly Boyz producing a perfectly beastly item purporting to list the three worst arguments against gun control.
You can click on the link for the list, but to save you the trouble they are, in order:
1: “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Of course they take the side that guns kill people, but I have almost one million clippings documenting firearms facilitated deaths, and not a single one documents a death in which a gun decided to kill someone.
2: “Criminals Don’t Obey Gun Laws, Only Law-Abiding Citizens Do The Beastly Boyz had to dig deep for that one. Persons who cannot legally look at a gun by reason of a felony conviction commit approximately 285,000 of the approximately 310,000 firarms facilitated crimes committed in recent years.
3: “Any Gun Control Is a Slippery Slope to Confiscation”
I suspect the Beastly Boyz found this in a a gun ban group;s propaganda. invented that noe. Even China, the Soviet Union, Albania and Cambodia allowed trusted Party members to keep a gun, and sometimes several. But what gun co0ntrol invariably does do is sent violent crime and murder rates sky high.
Both gun control drives and gun control laws send homicide and violent crime rates soaring. Here is a char from homicide data in the FBI’s “Crime in the United Sates” since 1950 that shows what the Gun Control Act of 1968 did to the U.S. homicide rate:
Here’s a chart, taken from data taken from the U.K. Office of National Statistics:
And of course, I have hundreds more charts showing exactly what happened after gun controls, from mild to total bans were instituted.
So, for the Beastly Boyz here are the facts about gun control.
In the 521 years since the first restrictive gun law was imposed, there have been more than 57,229 such laws. Of those, not even one can be shown to have reduced crime, made anyone safer, or reduced the incidence of of political assassination. Not even one.
So when people talk of “the need for gun control” they are talking of the need to perpetuate the longest lasting fraud in human history.
Further, given long enough and a Socialist government that wishes to retain power, the inevitable result of gun confiscation is democide. For those who must have pictures, this:
No, I do not think much of the Daily Beast. I consider it to be utterly without redeeming social value, so I think of it as little as possible.
