Wisconsin Active Killer Update - restraining orders are not worth the paper they are written on

With a tip of the Stetson to The Gun Wire for the link I see the Atlantic Wire has a report on Radcliffe Haughton, the active killer who murdered three at a Wisconsin beauty parlor.

The Atlantic Wire reports Haughton was not allowed to possess a firearm. Briefly quoting the Atlantic Wire item linked above:

On Oct. 18, a temporary restraining order was issued against Haughton “with firearm restriction,” according to Milwaukee County court records. A hearing was held that day, and Haughton was ordered to deliver his firearms to the sheriff and to have no contact for four years with the complainant or the residence. The complainant isn’t identified in the court record.

Of course, Haughton did not obey the restraining order. Active killers pay about as much attention to restraining orders as they do an empty candy wrapper. They do pay attention to the possibility of effective resistance. If an active killer faces a high probability of effective resistance, they will almost invariably omit the mass murder part of their plan for the future. A plan that ends with the eternal peace found only in their grave.
