7 October Hurricane Watch

There are two systems in the Atlantic basin this mornign. Tropical disturbance 1 is southwest of the azores,, sitting over relatively cool waters, and not moving much.

The other, Hurricane Nate is in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, due south of Mobile, Alabama, headed north by west at 22 MPH. Maximum sustained winds are given as 80, I expect Nate to make Hurricane status at the next advisory.

FOR THOSE IN THE AREA THAT MAAY BE AFFECTED, The latest Hurricane advisory IS AT THIS LINK. For those between Morgan City and Fort Walton I would advise checking frequently for updates.

Nate has already killed 22 in Central America, let’s keep safe and not add to his total.
