11 October Hurricane Watch

Ophelia is the only tropical system on the radar this morning, still nearly stationary south west of the Azores.

Put another way, Ophelia is almost two thirds of the way to Africa, and headed southeast, toward Africa, at 5 MPH, with maximum sustained winds of 65, The forecast is for it to dance in place for a while until it does or does something. So we may get to worry bout it later.

On the Pacific sice, Tropical Depression Twentythree is now ashore Vietnam and headed for Thailand and the Bay of Bengal.

And that is everything on the charts this morning, so it seems we are good for another day.
